Overview
The system smartly flags patients with matching details—like name, date of birth (DOB), phone number, or address—as suspected duplicates. This guide explains how to identify, resolve, and merge these flagged records to ensure your patient list stays organized.
How Are Suspected Duplicates Identified?
If patients share the same name, DOB, phone number, or address, they are automatically flagged as suspected duplicates.
A notification will appear, and you can find all flagged records within the Patient List.
Resolving Suspected Duplicates
Locate Duplicates:
Go to the Patient List to see all suspected duplicates flagged for review.
Resolve the Duplicates:
Follow the on-screen instructions to either merge the records or confirm they are not duplicates.
Manually Flag Records:
If two records were not initially flagged, you can manually input identical details (e.g., full name, DOB, or phone number).
This will trigger the system to mark them as suspected duplicates for merging.
What Happens When You Merge Records?
All patient data is smartly combined into a single, clean record.
Duplicate entries are resolved, avoiding any data overlap or confusion.
Benefits of Resolving Duplicates
Keeps your patient list accurate and organized.
Ensures no patient data is lost or scattered across multiple records.
Simplifies scheduling, billing, and overall patient management.
