Overview
We've made it easy to sync your upcoming appointments with your Google Calendar. This integration allows you to view appointments on your computer or mobile device without showing sensitive patient details. You'll only see key information like the type of service and office location.
Steps to Integrate with Google Calendar:
Go to Settings > Integrations >Google and click "Connect with Google."
Authorize AcuBliss to access your Google Calendar.
After authorization, click "Sync with Google Calendar" to choose an existing calendar or create a new one.
Disconnecting Your Calendar
To stop syncing, simply return to Settings > Integrations and click "Disconnect Google." You can also switch calendars by selecting a different one for syncing.
iPhone and Mac Users
iPhone and Mac users need to subscribe to Google calendars. Check out the detailed instructions provided for these devices. Keep in mind that syncing on iPhones occurs every 15 minutes.
Common Questions:
Can I delete appointments from my calendar via AcuBliss?
No, but you can remove your calendar directly from Google Calendar. How can I set up the calendar for another staff member?
Calendar integration must be done by the user themselves.
Troubleshooting: Calendar Not Syncing
If you've completed the integration steps but your AcuBliss appointments aren't appearing in Google Calendar, work through the following checks.
1. Allow Time for the Initial Sync
After connecting, Google Calendar can take several hours to complete the first sync. This delay is on Google's side. If you just set up or reconnected the integration, wait a full day before troubleshooting further.
2. Check That You're Viewing the Correct Google Account
The Google account you authorized during the AcuBliss integration must be the same account you're viewing in Google Calendar. If you're signed into a different Google or Gmail account in your browser or on your device, the synced calendar won't be visible there.
To confirm: open Google Calendar and check which account is active in the top-right corner. Make sure it matches the account you used when you clicked "Connect with Google" in AcuBliss.
3. Make Sure the Correct Calendar Is Visible
During the sync step in AcuBliss, you can either select an existing calendar or create a new one. If a new calendar was created, it may not be visible in your Google Calendar view by default.
To check: in Google Calendar, look at the left sidebar under "Other calendars." If your AcuBliss calendar is listed there, make sure the checkbox next to it is turned on. If it isn't checked, events won't display.
4. Using Apple Calendar or Outlook?
Appointments synced to Google Calendar won't automatically appear in Apple Calendar or Outlook. You first need to subscribe to your Google Calendar from within Apple Calendar or Outlook. Once subscribed, events will push across from Google into your preferred calendar app.
For instructions on subscribing to a Google Calendar on Apple devices, see Google's support guide for iPhone and Mac. Note that iPhone sync updates occur approximately every 15 minutes.
Still Not Syncing?
If you've worked through all of the above and appointments still aren't appearing, disconnect the integration under Settings > Integrations and reconnect from scratch, making sure to select the correct calendar during the sync step.
