Overview
Patients can easily access, download, and combine their invoices and superbills directly from the Patient Portal. This method ensures everything remains HIPAA-compliant and secure β without needing to exchange protected information through email or text.
Accessing Receipts Through the Patient Portal
To access invoices or superbills, patients can:
- Log into their Patient Portal. 
- Go to the Finances page. 
- View all available invoices and superbills. 
- Download individual files or combine them into a single PDF. 
With just a couple of clicks, patients can generate a complete record of all their visits, for example, all superbills from a full year (e.g., 2024).
HIPAA Compliance Reminder
Invoices and superbills contain Protected Health Information (PHI) such as:
- Services provided 
- Prescriptions 
- Diagnostic (ICD-10) codes 
- Patient address and contact information 
Because of this, these documents cannot be sent via standard email or text. The Patient Portal ensures secure, compliant access for patients to download their financial documents safely.
Printing Receipts (Optional)
If a patient requests a printed copy:
- You can print the invoice or superbill directly from their chart. 
- Or go to the Invoices/Superbills page and use the PDF Queue (printer icon) to combine multiple documents into one file for easy printing.
