Learn how to create flexible monthly memberships using Per-Service, Discount-Only, or Shared-Visits modes.

Overview

Memberships offer a convenient way to provide patients with recurring services and product discounts while automating monthly payments. AcuBliss now supports three membership modes — Per-Service, Discount-Only, and Shared-Visits — so you can offer the option that best fits your practice and your patients.

Choosing Your Membership Mode

When creating a membership, you'll choose one of three modes. Each one handles sessions, pricing, and discounts differently.

Per-Service (the classic)

This is the membership model you already know — nothing has changed here. Bundle specific services with a set number of sessions each (e.g., 4 massages + 2 acupuncture sessions per month) for a fixed monthly fee.

  • Supports session rollover, reduced pricing for extra sessions beyond what's included, and product discounts.

  • Best for patients who know exactly which services they want each month.

Discount-Only ✨ New

Patients pay a flat monthly fee in exchange for a percentage discount on every session they book that month.

  • How it works: You set the monthly fee and the discount percentage — for example, $50/month for 50% off every visit.

  • No session limits, no pre-selected services — just a consistent discount across the board.

  • Best for patients who visit often but whose needs vary week to week, or practices that want a simple loyalty tier.

Shared-Visits ✨ New

Patients get a pool of sessions per month they can use across a group of eligible services — they choose how to spend them.

  • Example: 5 sessions/month, usable for any combination of Service A, B, or C.

  • Sessions used on eligible services are fully covered by the membership.

  • Optional extra discount: You can also offer a percentage or flat-fee discount on services outside the eligible group, so patients still get value if they book something not in the pool.

  • Product discounts are also available.

  • Best for patients who want flexibility without committing to specific services upfront.

💡 Not sure which mode to pick? Want predictability and bundled services? → Per-Service. Want simplicity and broad savings? → Discount-Only. Want flexibility within a curated group of services? → Shared-Visits.

What stays the same across all modes

  • All three are billed as a recurring monthly fee.

  • All three can include product discounts while the membership is active.

Creating and Managing Memberships

  • Access Membership Settings:

    • Navigate to Settings > Billing > Memberships.

    • Click the blue Add Membership button.

    • Choose your membership Mode

  • Build Your Membership Plan:

    • Name: Create a unique name for the membership.

    • Product Discounts: Specify a percentage (e.g., 15%) or leave blank for no discount.

    • Services: Add services (e.g., 4 follow-up treatments per month). Adjust values or offer a monthly discount.

  • Rollover Control:

    • None: No unused services roll over (default).

    • All Services: Unused services roll over entirely.

    • Partial: Allow a limited number of services to roll over (e.g., one).

  • Extra Service Pricing:

    • Set reduced rates for additional services beyond the monthly limit.

  • Finalize Membership:

    • Add additional services, like massages, with unique pricing and discounts.

    • Set the monthly charge and save the membership.


Activating and Managing Patient Memberships

  • Subscribe Patients:

    • Go to a patient's profile.

    • Navigate into the Dashboard -> Packages & Memberships section.

    • Here you can see active Memberships or Add a new one.

  • Payment Processing:

    • Membership charges are automatically deducted monthly.

    • View financial snapshots to track service usage and remaining benefits.

  • Deactivating Memberships:

    • Memberships can be deactivated at any time through the patient's account.
