How to Run Telehealth Group Classes

Learn how to set up and manage telehealth group classes in AcuBliss, from creating the service to sending Zoom links to students.

Overview

AcuBliss supports group telehealth classes — like yoga, meditation, or community acupuncture sessions — using a combination of service setup, scheduling, and custom patient notifications. This guide walks you through the full setup from start to finish.

Step 1: Create the Class as a Service

First, add your class as a service type in your settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Services & Classes.

  2. Click Add Service Class.

  3. Select Class as the type.

  4. Fill in all the class details — name, duration, price, and any other relevant info.

  5. Save the service.

Step 2: Set a Student Limit

Once the class is created, configure how many students can enroll per session.

  1. Go to Settings > Schedule > Service Rules.

  2. Find your class and click Edit.

  3. Set the maximum number of students allowed per class session.

  4. Save your changes.

Step 3: Set Up Class Reminders with the Zoom Link

This is the most important step for telehealth classes. Because each Zoom link is unique per session, you'll need to add it manually to the reminder for each upcoming class.

💡 Important: AcuBliss does not automatically generate or attach Zoom links. You'll need to create the Zoom meeting first, then paste the link into the custom notification for that class.

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications > Patient Notifications.

  2. Set up a First Reminder and/or Second Reminder for the class.

  3. Click Add Custom Notification for Service.

  4. Select your class from the service list.

  5. In the custom notification body, include a section for the Zoom link — something like: "Join your class here: [Zoom link]".

  6. Before each class session, create the meeting in Zoom, copy the link, and paste it into this reminder.

  7. Save the notification.

💡 Tip: You can also add students directly inside Zoom so they receive Zoom's native reminders in addition to the ones sent through AcuBliss.

Step 4: Create Availability for the Class

Now you'll set up when the class is available on the schedule.

  1. Go to your Schedule.

  2. Create an availability block for the class.

  3. If the class repeats weekly at the same day and time, use the Repeat option to set up recurring availability — this saves you from creating each session manually.

Step 5: Book Students into the Class

When enrolling multiple students into recurring classes, use the Save and Repeat option from the appointment modal.

  1. Open the Add Appointment modal on the schedule.

  2. Select the student and the class.

  3. Use the Save and Repeat option to enroll the student across multiple upcoming sessions at once.

  4. Repeat for each student you want to add.
