Patients have access to the ultra-secure patient portal in one of two ways. You can either give them access, or they can create an account on their own. Note that patients log in through one of the two log in pages for your site - The “Book new appointment” page or the “Log In” page. 

It will be helpful for you to see how the patient portal works so you can help answer any questions they may have and how you’re collecting their information. We encourage you to create a “mock patient” so that you can go through the process of registering, booking appointments, filling out forms and signing informed consent forms once you have everything set up.
