Billing>Insurance Companies

Insurance companies must first be added here before you can assign them to a patient. Click the ‘Add insurance company” button to get started. The most efficient method is to type in a few letters of the insurance company’s name and see what appears. Keep typing until you find the insurance company that matches the Payer ID given by the patient. When you’ve found the exact match, click the “Use insurance company” button to add this insurer to the list of insurance companies you accept for your practice.


If you like, you can also free-hand type in the data, but we encourage you to use the database. A helpful hint is to learn the “Payor ID” of the insurance company and search for that to find the right one. 


If you don’t accept a particular insurance company anymore, click the “Deactivate” link to make it inactive.
