If you are experiencing issues with AI Scribe, such as recordings not appearing or uploads failing, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. Additionally, ensuring that your device does not go to sleep while recording is crucial for a smooth experience.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

  • Refresh the Page – If you are not seeing the AI Scribe, try refreshing your browser to reload the page.

  • Keep Your Screen Active – Do not record and then close your screen, as this may interrupt the recording process.

  • Prevent Your Device from Sleeping – Make sure your computer stays awake during recording and uploading.

  • Maintain an Internet Connection – AI Scribe requires an active internet connection to upload your recordings properly.

  • Check Your Upload – If the file does not appear, try reloading the page, as the browser may not have updated the tab.

Preventing Sleep Mode on Your Device

To avoid interruptions during recording, ensure your device does not go to sleep. Below are steps to adjust sleep settings on both Mac and Windows computers.

Mac - Article

  1. Click on the Apple Menu and select System Settings.

  2. Go to Displays & Battery or Battery & Power Adapter.

  3. Under Power Adapter, set Turn display off after to Never.

  4. If using battery power, adjust Battery settings accordingly to prevent sleep while recording.

  5. Ensure that Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off is enabled.

Windows - Article

  1. Open Settings (Windows + I).

  2. Navigate to System > Power & sleep.

  3. Under Screen and Sleep, set When plugged in, turn off after to Never.

  4. If on battery, adjust the On battery power, turn off after settings as needed.

  5. (Optional) Use Control Panel > Power Options to fine-tune sleep and power settings.
