Overview
Things should be quick! If you’re experiencing slow performance while using our software, there are several factors that could be affecting your experience. Below are some common causes and ways to optimize your setup.
Common Causes & Solutions
1. Internet Speed
Run a speed test in your office workspace (e.g., via Ookla) - Try here, it's free!
A download (or upload) speed below 16 Mbps may cause delays. Consider upgrading your internet plan if necessary.
We've got 1000Mbps here, we've seen users with 4Mbps and it's.... slow 🙃
If slow, reach out to your Internet Service Provider (for example: Xfinity, Optimum, AT&T Internet, etc.) and give them this info. Don’t let them “upsell” you on a new bundle! It’s likely they are “throttling” your signal, and you can simply complain, and they’ll lift it 🙃
2. Weak WiFi Signal
Move your WiFi router closer to your workspace.
If your office is large, a mesh router system can improve connectivity, we like the Deco one (buy here on Amazon)
If you had to, try using a wired connection (Ethernet) for better stability.
3. Older Devices
While we support all modern devices, older computers or tablets may experience slow performance. Like 10 years or older.
We've seen some underpowered Chromebook's perform poorly.
Memory: Have above 8GB
4. Hard Drive Storage
Having a hard drive with a minimum of 20% free space. Otherwise, everything is slow... Ask us how we know - We've seen it! We can also help with this on a support call.
On Windows you can see this by opening your File explorer and your local drive will show a red line:
On Mac you can see this by opening your Settings go into General>Storage and you will be able to see if you have low space:

5. Browser Optimization
If you've got an older device, avoid keeping too many tabs open.
Use a supported browser like Chrome, Firefox or Edge for optimal performance.
We recommend Chrome! Download here.
6. System Resources
Running multiple high-memory applications at the same time can slow down performance.
Restart your device periodically to free up system resources.
